Join us on this opportunity of a lifetime to yoga, surf and explore the breathtaking Mentawai Islands. We have created this Mentawai retreat for longboarders and novice/intermediate mid length and floaty fish riders! We know the Menatwais has always been thought of as a place only advanced technical riders can surf, but we aim to find smaller fun sized waves, allowing you to progress throughout the week and spread some frothy good vibes! We have hand selected the perfect place to host us with the best season in mind for our tribe. The Mentawai Islands is one of the most stunning locations in the world With its crystal blue waters, white sand beaches, colourful coral reefs and palm tree back drop, we promise once you're here you'll never want to leave!

Why choose us over any other Mentawai retreat?!
We have exclusive use of the resort, which means we are able to select where and when we surf, and what time suits our group for yoga and other activities. This is a major selling factor, as most others resorts have one boat that must be shared among other guests with all different surfing abilities, not ideal for long boarders or novice surfers. The main factor in picking this resort to host us compared to the others, was for this reason. Not to mention that we are situated amongst some of the best long boarding waves in the Mentawais!
Accommodation, food, yoga, surf coaching, video analysis and unlimited boat usage to take us to the perfect waves to suit our ability are among some of the wonderful things all included. Another HUGE selling point is that we only take a max of 5 guests to make sure you’ll get lots of waves and one on one time! We have a longboard specific local coach and 2 very experienced western guides to make sure you're always feeling safe and supported in the waves. Please note that surfing experience is necessary for this retreat. You must be able to catch your own waves and above all, feel comfortable in the water.
We will have a daily yoga practice in the shala at our beautiful resort, that will help you regain your strength and ease your surfer muscles. Our teacher will incorporate different forms of breath work into the practice that can help you with situations that may arise in the water. We find that the pairing of yoga, breath and surfing go hand in hand in more ways than one. No matter your yoga experience we can cater the practice to you, giving you the challenges, explanations or rest that you need.
The Mentawai Islands are so incredibly special for many reasons, one of them being that they are extremely remote! This also means they can be a little bit of an adventure to get too. SEAFOLK will do everything we can to make this experience as seamless as possible for you. You will need to allow for a day on either side of the retreat for your travel. You will fly into Padang the night before the retreat starts. We have included in the price of the retreat your hotel in Padang the arrival day and departure day. We catch the ferry the next morning (the day the retreat starts) at 7am. On the way back home, the ferry arrives quite late, we will stay in a hotel in Padang, and then fly out the next morning. It may sound complicated but that’s why we’re here!

Your Accommodation
Included in the price, is 8 days, 7 nights accommodation in our own private house on a remote tropical island! Our comfortable wooden house is equipped with the best facilities you can get on an isolated island only steps away from white sand beach with crystal clear water, fully supplied by solar power. Every single detail in our house was designed with love by the owners to make your holidays unforgettable. Our accommodation is a cute traditional wooden bungalow composed of 3 bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, mosquito nets and fans for your comfort. The bottom level of the bungalow we have a fully equipped modern kitchen with our own personal chef providing us 3 meals a day, dining room table with 10 seats, living room with a comfortable couch and bean bags with 60 inch flat screen for our video analysis, 2 shared bathrooms with hot water showers and a spacious balcony with hammocks to relax in after our surfs!

·7 nights, 8 days in a Beautiful Beach Front Bungalow with hot shower and all the western comforts.

·Experienced Indonesian surf coach to help you improve throughout the week.

We have done a lot of research to find the most reasonably priced resort that we feel is suited for our standard of retreats. We believe this experience will be worth every penny! We hope you decide to join us while the Mentawai Islands are still a hidden gem. Unfortunately, this won’t last forever :)

You can now pay your deposit of $600usd, to secure your spot as we have limited capacity on this intimate retreat of 5 people. We have a few options for your payments, and are happy to arrange a payment plan once you have sent your deposit:
The easiest option would be to send to our USD account, We use WISE, so can also do a conversion for you in most currencies and you can send to our WISE account. Lastly, you can pay via PayPal, however there will be a 5% transaction fee added.
